Health is wealth initiative launched with prestigious gala dinner by ESE in New York

The European School for Economics and its New York office launched on 12/1/2008 its new program on physical and mental health awareness with a prestigious gala dinner and charity event in Manhattan, NY. The evening was marked by keynote speeches by Elio D'Anna, President of the ESE Foundation; Gordon Bethune, Former Chairman and CEO of Continental Airlines and Dr Steven Lamm the Program Director of Health is Wealth. Entertaining acts were delivered by Actor/Comedian Tracy Morgan of the ABC hit comedy, 30 Rock; Lyric Tenor Luciano Lamonarca, and the music of Elio D'Anna Jr., an internationally recognized talent. Honorees of the night were, among others, Mark Gentile, Patrick Ignozzi, Sirio Maccioni, Tracy Morgan and Dr. Jyoti Srivastava who were presented with the Vision and Reality Awards 2008. Health is Wealth is a new course designed by ESE to contribute to students' appreciation and understanding of the importance of physical and mental health and offer them the opportunity to acquire critical thinking and behavioral skills that will help them achieve and maintain optimum health and wellness. In addition, this course will also examine occupational health issues and some of the major economic and financial issues surrounding the provision the promotion of health and the provision of health care services.
